Week in Review – 10/17/2014

Where does the time go?  I like to read two blogs per day for entertainment, to learn, and just to see what my online friends are up to.  It is always a great use of my time.

Following is a roundup of my favorite blog posts of the week:

Elise Cohen Ho encouraged us to unblock our creativity by making a daily and weekly priority list that included the fun stuff–the stuff that fires you up

If you are like most bloggers, you cannot recall that thing you did last month that caused your traffic spike.  I think we all suffer from information overload.  Well, worry no longer.  Kim Castleberry explains how we can make notes right in Google Analytics!

Sonia Freer has been using Pinterest to display and SELL affiliate products AND she is helping us get up and running so that we can have fun and possibly earn a few bucks.

Deborah Brink cautions us to pay close attention to blog security. Did you know that it takes a malicious attacker only a couple of minutes running automated tools  to discover your blog vulnerabilities and exploit them?

Have you been thinking about embarking upon a joint venture?  Donna Merrill provides some expert guidance in that area and tells the story of her first joint venture project–with her husband, David.

Are you aware of the fears that are are holding you back from being all you are meant to be?  Leanne Chesser goes public in sharing what shining the light on her mind-killing fears revealed.

You'd be cheating yourself if you don't go check these bloggers out πŸ™‚

Enjoy the weekend!

  3. Rachel,

Thank you for sharing these additional resources. Like you I enjoy reading various blogs each week and do a Five Friday Favorites blog to summarize my reading. I have bookmarked Kim Castleberry’s post so I can incorporate notes into my Google Analytics.

    Wishing you productivity and prosperity,

  4. Great list, Rachel!

Kim is great – she always has good stuff to share!

I’ve never gotten into Pinterest – although I hear good things about it. Is it time?! LOL

We always have to take security into consideration! I know I do. I have talked about it many time letting folks know what needs to be done in order to tighten up the security on their site.

Thanks for the list! I will be back to ready more.

    Be Well.

  5. Rachel,

Thank you so much for including me here! What a privilege!

There are a couple of posts I need to get over and read. What a neat idea! I read many great posts a week and didn’t think of making a list for others like you have here. It’s good for bloggers to make the rounds and see what others are doing and focusing on.

Right now, I am participating in a 30-Day Blog challenge where I visit 1 new blog per day for the next month. It’s been a real eye-opener! I have learned so much and have met some really fantastic bloggers!

Guess what? Today, I have fulfilled day 12 by visiting your blog! πŸ™‚

Thank you for sharing and pointing me in the direction of some great blog content!
