12 Days to Get Your Online Biz Booming: Day 9

Have you identified where you will network each month and who you will contact to schedule a speaking engagement?  These are great actions for gaining visibility and building your list. Make sure you have at least one event scheduled monthly.  You will find that when you work from your home, it is refreshing to get out occasionally.
The first time you do this will be the most dificult; however, after that it will become a part of your monthly business growth routine. Make attending at least one networking event per month a habit.  Your goal should be to develop win-win relationships. Also, strategically decide which events to attend.  Either your target market or someone who can introduce you to your target market should be attending.  If possible, continue with the same group for a few consecutive months to develop meaningful connections, referrals and relationships.  People will not get to know, like and trust you within just a couple of visits; consequently, it is unlikely that they will be doing business with you.

  6. Great advice, Rachel. Planning ahead is one of the most difficult things for me. Or at least, I’m great at working out a plan, but not so great at follow-through. It’s one of the things I’ll be doing differently in 2015.

    Networking can be done strictly online too, of course. It’s good to have an “A-List” of forums, Facebook groups and Google+ communities to visit on a regular basis.
