12 Days to Get Your Online Biz Booming: Day 11

laptop outdoorsSavvy entrepreneurs are not really using the old school advertising and promotion methods any more.  They are busy creating content that sells without being sales-y, which is known as content marketing.

Content is simply anything that you create and upload to your website.  It is information that educates or enriches your target market.  Your target market will come to know your style, your expertise and value through this content.

Content is your marketing workhorse, working to attract clients and educating them on the unique value you provide every minute of every day.  There is no need to chase after people any more 😉

  1. These are all good ideas which I will incorporate into my 2014 plans! Thank you 🙂

  2. I’m not doing any right now, but that is a great list of ideas!

  3. I use several of those ideas and a few more of them are on the to-do list for 2014. Thanks for the list 🙂

  4. I’m using several of these now, but one strategy I’m looking to add in 2014 is webinars. This year I developed an online course as a bonus to go with one of my books. It was an experiment really and I have been very pleased with the results so I want to pursue this and create a free webinar to use as an introduction to the sales funnel.

  5. I have thought about some things on that list, but haven’t followed through with anything yet. I am glad to see an actual breakdown of content marketing ideas. I had always thought that simply making a blog post was content marketing. This post will help me to focus on more effective marketing techniques. Thank you!

  6. What a great list, I will be working through this for the new year. Thanks!!

  7. Content marketing is an excellent way to build a business online.

You’ve given us a pretty thorough list of ideas for doing that, Rachel.

I’ve done a lot of these, but I think the trick is to really concentrate on one or two, and not dilute your effort too much.
