Content Keeps Your Blog Readers Happy

Content Keeps Your Blog Readers Happy

I do not know if content is king; however, good content keeps your blog readers happy.

what is plrHave you realized the power content has to market and grow your online business yet? Audio content, video content and, of course,  print content such as articles, reports and eBooks all help to boost traffic, awareness, credibility, value and profits.  You have also most likely realized how time consuming and expensive creating this content can be.  Perhaps writing and publishing articles and blog posts is not too bad, particularly if you know and love your niche topic.

I have found that creating information products can be very time consuming.

Like me, you probably have a long list of great ideas for information products because you love to provide value to your prospects and clients.  Often the information products rarely move from the idea phase into a tangible product.

Why?

Lack of time is the biggest stumbling block. Other complications or challenges involve creating graphics, not really knowing how to pull together an information product, bonus products and all of the necessary marketing materials that accompany it.

Another stumbling block is finances.  It can be expensive to create your own information products from scratch or have them created for you.

Using PLR can be the solution.

If you have an online business, you have probably heard the buzz about PLR (Private Label Rights) content.  PLR products are digital items in multiple forms:  articles, pre-written newsletters/ezines, small reports, full length ebooks, website templates, audios, videos.

The benefits of PLR are:

More value for money.  PLR content is far more affordable than hiring a writer to create your content.  Depending on your business, your time may be better spent on other income producing activities.

Readily Available.  You do not have to wait for PLR content. It is pre-written and waiting for you to plunk your name on it.

Easily customized.  PLR products can be customized to meet the needs of your business and your target market quite easily.

Big repurposing potential.  PLR can be used repeatedly according to the shifting needs of your business. This will provide a significant return on your investment.

  1. PLR can be awesome. I always like to put my own spin on it however so tend to look for items that can be edited. It is a great tool for the beginner blogger to get them going much quicker than if they tried to create their own products.

    Hi Rachel,

I completely agree with you, if your content is of good quality and informative for the visitors, than visitors will surely be interested to read it.  Looking forward for your next post….:)

  3. I have used PLR quite a lot in the past and have an account with one company.  As you say they are affordable and I have also bought many ebooks off of them which you have re-sale rights although I have always offered for free.  Great post.

    • That's great Merle.  I think that using PLR content is especially great for newbies to offer as gifts.

  4. Very useful advice Rachel. I find PRL is a great tool when you are stuck for ideas. I sometimes find it difficult to start writing, and a PLR article can give me a push in the right direction.

  5. Sharing my experience with PLR.

I love PLR and use it often.

It is however, very important to stick with high quality reputable PLR providers or you will spend more time rewriting than writing it yourself. It is also critical that you edit PLR and make it your own – I see a lot of people failing to do this.

True, sometimes PLR is used as is (ex: video and audio PLR) and there is PLR that cannot be changed. Personally, I only buy PLR that give rights to claim ownership, change title & content, and change graphics.

Lastly, pay attention to what the author allows you to do with the PLR (these rights are granted by product). Sometimes, I may love a PLR but the author will not allow it to be given away for free or may not allow it to be added to a membership site. Based on my need, these limitations may be deal breakers for me.

Oh, and unfortunately it can be difficult if not impossible to find PLR on a specific topic.

    • Hi Linette,

The inability to find PLR content on my most targeted topics is the major reason that I do not use it as often as others may.

  6. Which is better for the reader? PLR or genuine hand written content with the odd typo?

I think I prefer hand written

    • Most readers are seeking well-written content that is relevant to them William–the source would not matter.

  7. Rachel, PLR is awesome and yes I do have soooo many ideas for products.

    Thanks for the reminders,

    Evey

  8. Hi Rachel,

I am very familiar with that feeling of wanting to put your ideas into actual content, and not being able to accomplish it.Creating good content is time consuming. I am happy that these resources are available to help us with content creation. I have not used PLR as yet, or any others for that matter. But knowing it is available is a good feeling.

    • Hi Yvonne,

I, too, may not have need for information at the time it is presented.  Perhaps you will search for relevant PLR content when you are in a time crunch.  I have seen a lot of it on nutrition; however, I can not speak to the quality.

  9. GREAT advice. I'm always struggling to find high value content when it comes to blog and my work. I've never heard of PLR either so this is very useful x

  10. I can and have written tons of content and I do speak the language of my niche but it does get frustrating when relationships don't build as fast as you write your content.

    • It can be frustrating Jeff.  I believe that your efforts will be rewarded if you are consistent.

  11. Great advice! When you run a business, it's definitely no laughing matter to create the tools yourself. PLR is a good solution.

    • Thanks Michelle.  I believe that most of us find it challenging to create products for passive revenue because we are so busy and there is just not enough time to get it all done.

  12. Charlie Holles :

Rachel that looks really interesting. When I started reading your post I didn't think it could help with my particular niche but I have just checked the PLR website and I reckon I can definitely use it. Thnaks so much for this.

I have to be honest and say that I've very new to the idea of PLR.  I've vaguely heard about it before, but that was about it.  Now you have me interested in the idea, and I'll be Googling to read more about it.  Thanks for the information Rachel.

I am going to write a least one more post on PLR content with more direction for those who definitely want to get started.  Stay tuned…

  14. Hi! Rachel

Hi Rachel, I would be interested in knowing where to find high quality PLR material. The PLR material I have is not very good and I have never used any of it in any form.
